Meet the Lawyers of Wistow & Barylick, Inc. - Providence , Rhode Island

Max Wistow is a member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts bars. Educated at the University of North Carolina and Suffolk University, he has been listed in Best Lawyers in America every year since that publication was first issued. In a survey conducted by Rhode Island Monthly magazine, his fellow lawyers selected him as the top medical malpractice lawyer in the state. He has received Martindale-Hubbell's "AV" (highest) rating. Mr. Wistow is a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a Master of the Rhode Island Inns of Court. He is a frequent lecturer on trial practice and medical malpractice issues. He is a principal of Wistow & Barylick, Inc. located in downtown Providence.

John P. Barylick is also a Martindale-Hubbell "AV"-rated member of the Rhode Island and Massachusetts bars. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and law degree from Boston University. Chairman of the Rhode Island Bar Association Medical-Legal Committee for the past six years, Mr. Barylick is a frequent lecturer on medical malpractice both to lawyers and health care providers, including programs at Brown University School of Medicine, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, and Brown University Health Services. He is also a principal of Wistow & Barylick.

Stephen P. Sheehan is admitted to practice in New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Educated at the University of Massachusetts and Rutgers University, Mr. Sheehan has won several landmark cases in the field of adoption malpractice. He is active in the American and Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Associations.

A. Peter Loveley is also a member of the New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts bars. Educated at St. Michael's College and the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Loveley is deeply involved in the firm's medical malpractice area.

Michael J. Stevenson, born 1972, is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association. He graduated from Providence College with a B.A. in American History in 1994 and received his M.A. in American History in 1998. Mike graduated from Suffolk University School of Law in 2002. He was admitted to practice in R.I. in 2002, in Massachusetts in 2002 and in Connecticut in 2003.

Michael R. Bottaro is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Colorado bars. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Boston College and his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Following a clerkship with the Colorado Court of Appeals, Mr. Bottaro's practice areas have included insurance bad faith and medical malpractice.

Benjamin G. Ledsham holds a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (magna cum laude, Law Review, Order of the Coif) and a B.A. from Amherst College (magna cum laude, Robert Cover Award). He clerked for Hon. Allison E. Accurso, P.J.Cv., in New Jersey Superior Court and is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
